Property giant CapitaLand clinched two Building and Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA) Universal Design Mark Awards (UD Mark) of the highest Platinum standard for the d’Leedon (pictured) residential development, and the Westgate and Westgate Tower integrated development, making it the real estate developer with the most number of UD Mark Platinum projects.

The group has bagged three of the seven Platinum awards accorded by BCA since the award was re-launched in October 2012.

CapitaLand was also conferred the prestigious BCA Quality Excellence Award – Quality Champion (GoldPLUS), or the third time the group is named a Quality Champion since the award was incepted in 2013.

Since last year’s BCA Awards, CapitaLand has been awarded eight BCA Green Mark awards and three UD Mark awards.

In total, the group bagged 13 awards at this year’s BCA Awards.

CapitaLand President and Group CEO Lim Ming Yan said the group has been a keen supporter of BCA’s efforts to improve building standards.

“Sustainability is a continuous process that is integral to our business. We developed our Sustainable Building Guidelines in 2007 to drive a systematic approach in designing, building and operating properties sustainably across the group,” he said.

To date, the group has received a total of 92 Green Mark awards and 14 UD Mark awards for its development projects in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Vietnam and most recently, Australia.
