PropertyGuru Group has appointed Malcolm Fitzgerald (pictured) as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) with immediate effect.
In this role, he will lead the group’s approximately 100 product, user experience and engineering staff in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
He will be responsible for continuing product development, quality assurance and production support. He will also identify opportunities and risks for PropertyGuru’s online businesses, drive the company’s innovation efforts and establish software development and production support processes across the region.
Prior to joining PropertyGuru, Fitzgerald served as Chief Technology Officer for ANATAS, one of Australia’s leading IT consultancies.
He has over 13 years of experience in technical leadership, mobile and product design, and delivering IT solutions within the financial services, utilities, construction and telecommunications sectors in Australia. He is also the co-founder of four successful entrepreneurial businesses.

In the past two years, PropertyGuru has launched over ten major products and enhancements to help consumers in their property search process, including a website and mobile app revamp, SmartSelect – the world’s first research engine for easier property comparison, and in-depth Project Reviews of the latest property launches.
