Visitors came down to learn more about Asia’s emerging markets from a range of guest speakers.
More than 500 visitors attended the recent exhibition in Singapore to find out more about investment opportunities in Asia’s emerging markets.

PropertyGuru’s Emerging Markets Property Show 2016 attracted many prospective investors, with guest speakers and property showcases from Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
With the launch of ASEAN integration and nations such as Cambodia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka open to foreign investment, global investors are now looking to tap into wealth opportunities in the construction and property sectors of these markets.
Held from 8 to 9 October at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, H.E. Mr Nimal Weeraratne, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, graced the event. It also drew more than 500 visitors who were interested to know more about Asia’s emerging markets from industry experts, and to look at established and luxurious projects by various developers.
Asian developers who participated in the event included CAMHOMES, Gamuda Land, Kusto Home, Mireka Homes, Nusasiri Public Company Limited, Ortigas & Company, Property Perfect, Pruksa Real Estate Public Company Limited, Richland Property and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.
“PropertyGuru has helped us feature Sri Lanka and its current development projects. Branding is very important to us, and we are glad that PropertyGuru has helped us to achieve that through this event. We hope to participate again in future events,” said Shanesh Ratnaweerage, Senior Manager at Mireka Homes.
“It would have been great if more information specific to the countries represented at the seminar were provided to potential buyers. Most of the participants in this event are very knowledgeable, and some have already decided which country they would like to invest in during the long run. Hence, this would be a win-win for both developers and customers,” said Pamela Perez, Sales Director at Shang-ri La Hotels & Resorts.
Travis Mishuku, Head of International Division from Ortigas & Company, and Le Thi Nhu Ngoc, a representative from Kusto Group, attributed the success of the event to good planning and more structured organisation.
