According to modern Chinese Feng Shui, different zodiac signs match specific colours. Feng Shui promotes a clean and clear flow of chi (energy flow) within the home, with each colour signifying a different meaning, says design consultant Kay Wee from DB Studio. This affects the choice of colour scheme when renovating or decorating the home, particularly as we usher in 2017. Here are a few tips for finding the perfect colour for the New Year.
| RAT— For those born in the Year of the Rat, shades of pink are the best colours if you are looking for help in the romance department. Exotic Bloom NP R 1296D and Too Shy NP R 1313P are two colours that add a delicate touch to your bedroom and complement most furniture colours. |

OX– Earthy tones like brown and green are believed to bring more wealth and good career opportunities for those born in the Year of the Ox. | TIGER– 2017 looks set to be an auspicious year for Tigers, except for a few hurdles along the way. Nonetheless, they can incorporate shades of blush pink such as Sweethearts NP R1293P and Alpine Pink NP R1289D into their interior design to boost wealth. Creative Director Anne Chua from CAD Associates says soft colours are highly recommended for bedrooms as it makes homeowners feel comfortable, and can match the right Feng Shui easily by mixing with different colours. |
