Developments with childcare centres are a lot more common these days even if their numbers are still low. Not all new projects have the space and license required to have a childcare centre built onto its grounds but the few that do present an attractive destination for parents who may require a more convenient place to send their kids for the day.

In this article, we look at just five developments that come with childcare centres.

Sims Urban Oasis

With an expected TOP in 2018, Sims Urban Oasis is a high density condominium about five minutes away from Aljunied MRT station. Located along the East-West line, the 1,024-unit development comes with seven retail spaces on its premises and includes a childcare centre.

The development is within walking distance to hawker centres and shops, while Geylang and all its eateries is across from Aljunied MRT.

Prices at Sims Urban Oasis begin at SGD758K.

North Park Residences

North Park Residences is a development that has been integrated with Northpoint City Mall. Its childcare centre comes with children play areas as well. This also means that other conveniences such as retail outlets, the bus interchange and more are all located within the development.

Prices at North Park Residences begin at an average of SGD615K.

Queens Peak

Queens Peak at Dundee Road is across Queenstown MRT station. If the proposed link bridge is given permit to be built, then it will be connected to the MRT station as well. Queenstown is on the east-west line and is two stops from Buona Vista and five stops to Jurong East. It is also three stops to Outram Park, four stops to Tanjong Pagar, five stops to Raffles and six to City Hall.

Grandeur Park Residences

Grandeur Park Residences is located at Tanah Merah at less than a two-minute walk to the eponymous train station. It is two stops to Changi Airport and three stops to Pasir Ris. Bedok is one stop away and over there is where the closest amenities can be found at either Bedok Mall or the smaller Bedok Point. Soon, the redeveloped Princess Theatre will be the site of a brand-new Cineplex.

The development also comes with two commercial shops and one childcare centre.

Prices at Grandeur Park Residences start at a modest SGD560,000.

Artra

Artra is the latest development on this list to launch but it is no less impressive. With just 400 units in a single, 44-storey tower, Artra brings to Alexandra View the one thing it lacked the most; retail. Its entire ground floor is a shopping pavilion open to the public.

There are 16 retail shops, including a supermarket and a childcare centre all available for use by Artra’s residents and the residents in the area. The childcare centre will be directly accessible by residents via a separate lift.

Artra units do not have 1-bedrooms. Instead, the entry level units are 2-bedrooms + study units.

Prices at Artra begin at SGD1,199,999.
