The GST Voucher – U-Save rebate helps HDB households offset part of their utilities bills.

The Ministry of Finance on Sunday (1 January) revealed that around 860,000 Singaporean HDB households will receive the next instalment of the GST Voucher – Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebate this month.

Depending on their HDB flat type, eligible Singaporean households will each get a GST Voucher – U-Save of up to $65.

Distributed every quarter and expected to cost $190 million annually, the U-Save rebate helps HDB households offset part of their utilities bills, effectively reducing their overall household expenses.

Those living in one- and two-room HDB flats are able to offset around three to four months of utilities bills on average annually, while those living in three- and four-room HDB flats, about one to two months of utilities bills.

However, households whose members own more than one property are not eligible for the GST Voucher – U-Save, said the ministry.
