HDB flats in Ghim Moh

A total of 17,000 new flats are set to be launched in 2017.

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) launched 4,056 flats for sale this morning under the February 2017 Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise.

Spread across six projects in Punggol, Clementi and Tampines, these flats comprise the first batch of a total of 17,000 flats to be launched this year.

The new flats range from 2-room Flexi to 3Gen flats. Excluding grants, prices start from $81,000 for a 2-room Flexi flat at Waterway Sunrise II and Northshore Cove in Punggol, to $571,000 for a 5-room unit at Clementi NorthArc and Clementi Peaks.

Applications for the new flats can be submitted online on the HDB InfoWEB from today till next Monday (20 February).

Meanwhile, a project in Woodlands that was slated to launch this month has been deferred. “Due to the site conditions, further review is needed to better integrate it with surrounding developments. The project will be launched after the review is completed,” said the HDB.

The agency added that the next BTO launch will happen in May. About 4,600 flats in Bidadari, Geylang, Woodlands and Yishun will be offered for sale, while some 3,000 balance flats will also be released in a concurrent Sale of Balance Flats exercise.
