The highly-anticipated Seaside Residences condominium at Siglap Link attracted strong buyer interest at its preview over the weekend (8 and 9 April), with close to 5,000 people visiting the show suite over two days, said developer Frasers Centrepoint Singapore.
Majority of the home seekers indicated that they stayed in eastern districts such as 15, 18 and 19.
The 843-unit project will comprise one- to five-bedroom units spread across four towers. Floor areas range from 420 sq ft to 3,294 sq ft.
At 27-storeys high, it will boast unblocked sea views when completed in 2021.
Cheang Kok Kheong, Head of Development and Property at Frasers Centrepoint Singapore, said: “No new projects with panoramic sea views have been built along the East Coast Parkway in the last 15 years, leading to a pent-up demand for new housing options in the area. The development maximises its sea-facing frontage, with at least 70 percent of the units enjoying a sea view.”
Early indications show that there is equal interest in both the larger and smaller unit configurations, with many placing a premium on the opportunity to live next to the beach.
Jevon Koh, an interested buyer at the preview, said: “It gives us a more prestigious feel, compared to the many developments we have seen recently.”
The 99-year leasehold condo is a short walk from East Coast Park via an underpass, and is close to the future Siglap MRT station on the Thomson-East Coast line.
Sale of units will be launched on 22 April.
