Condo listings under mortgagee sale up in Q1

For the first quarter of 2019, non-residential listings under mortgagee sale rose 26.7 percent quarter-on-quarter to 57, while the 3-month SIBOR rate progressively climbed from 1.448 percent in Q1 2018 to 1.944 percent, according to report. 

Private condominium listings under mortgagee sale have been on the uptrend as mortgage payments have been rising on the back of increasing interest rates.

For the first quarter of 2019, non-residential listings under mortgagee sale rose 26.7 percent quarter-on-quarter to 57, while the 3-month SIBOR rate progressively climbed from 1.448 percent in Q1 2018 to 1.944 percent, reported Singapore Business Review citing research from Knight Frank.

Landed residential listings under mortgagee sale also expanded by 23.8 percent quarter-on-quarter to 26. A significant increase in residential listings under mortgagee sale were also noted in districts 9, 10 and 11.

In total, residential listings under mortgagee sale made up the bulk of total mortgagee listings at 52.2 percent or 83 listings.
