Great location (5min walk to Kallang MRT and less than 8min drive to city centre). Amenities are quaint (small pool and gym) but well maintained. Units have very good layout - rectangular living room, large bay windows which let in alot of natural light and no wastage of space. Construction of neighbouring BTO almost completed.

Tired Condo
We stayed at Canne Lodge and are not really sad that we recently moved out. The location is pretty good and our apartment was good in size. But the building and its amenities are tired. The pool is more like a dip pool and isn't suitable for swimming. The gym is just old and very limited. Unfortunately we also experienced some noise at night on a regular basis by people using the pool at night illegally after 10pm. Security is only at the building from 8am to 9pm.

Canne Lodge
No doubt Canne lodge is well located with ammenities. Lets not forget its address is the killer. Geylang Lorong 3.
Getting bank loan would be a challenge and limited.
With HDB surrounding it right, back and front, its view is very very blocked. Esp the surronding HDB are double its height.
For expat short term stay is fine. But for own stay, that would need more consideration.

Great location, reasonable rents
Location
It may be located on Lor 3 Geylang, but it's right next to several new HDB blocks. It feels like a very normal quiet neighborhood and *nothing* like what you might expect in the middle of Geylang. At least from 2 sides of the building, the neighboring buildings are some distance away, thus making it feel less congested.
Transport
A walk to Kallang MRT takes less than 5 minutes.
More than 20 bus services available from stops within 5 minutes.
Near main roads so getting taxis is a breeze.
The CBD, Boat Quay & Clark Quay are 15-20 minutes away by MRT/Bus.
Markets & shopping
Being near several HDB blocks, there are several shops within a 5 minutes walk that sell everything you might require on a daily basis. 2 mid sized supermarkets including a wet market for fresh meat & vegetables! Numerous smaller shops that you can typically find in mature HDB estates. A free shuttle from Kallang MRT takes you to Kallang Leisure Park (7-10 minutes journey time).
Food
All around the condo, including 24 hour places! Walk for another few minutes and all the famous eateries in Geylang are also there for exploring. Craving for more? There's Kallang Leisure Park, and Bugis & Paya Lebar are just a short MRT ride away.
Building condition & facilities
It may look a bit dated in design, but the management maintains everything in excellent working condition. There's a pool, jacuzzi, gym, sauna and bbq. There are only 36 flats so the facilities are not crowded. The smaller 1+1 bedroom flats may be only 818 sq ft but they don't feel small and are perfect for a single person or a couple. Of course, larger flats are also available.
My recommendation? The location is excellent. It can't be beat for convenience. But the icing on the cake is the relatively lower rents compared to condos located near the MRT & the city.
