I must agree it's an old estate, no lap pool, no gym, no tennis court. But who would want to soak in chlorine water or sweat it out every day.
Anyway I was lucky to find an apartment that was renovated not long ago, it was located on high floor, the view was splendid. Apartment is cosy, quiet except for the noise from the busy road. Other than that convienient to buy my groceries from the supermarket downstairs.
Sad to leave this place. Till then, see you again Singapore.

Purgatory
I lived at Chancery Court for only 6 months but it felt like 60 years. This place is the worst apartment I have ever had the displeasure of stepping inside much less being required to live in. I was there on assignment from my corporation and I had no choice, but if you have a choice, I promise you, you will want to think again about looking here! The floors are constantly caked in a layer of soot that does not come off no matter how many times you mop and sweep. The facilities managers are abrasive and unhelpful. The fuse box is exposed to the elements and so the power goes off regularly. It is hotter and stickier than if you just slept outside. There is just a generally feeling of unease about this place that makes everyone who lives there uncomfortable, except maybe the cockroaches that hang out in the bathrooms. The only positives are the relative proximity to a train station and the Cold Storage downstairs. Not that you should prepare your own food in a dump like that... While there, my roommate and I called that apartment Purgatory, a place of burning and of torture. If you are an Expat, stay far, far away from Chancery Court! If you are a Singaporean, you can get a better HDB flat for a tenth of the price! Anything is better than Purgatory!

Beware multiple problems
This condo has lots of mosquitoes! Gas leaks on and off as the gas pipes seems to suffer from cracks. I heard from neighbors something about soft soil. If staying there and smell gas, please inform security immediately , the management does respond quickly to such feedback.

Ageing estate
Central location with its own Cold Storage! But ageing estate with associated problems - spalling concrete and water seepage in some units, mosquitoes due to ponding in the estate and breeding areas around the canal nearby, occasional rats hiding in gaps between building structure and ground. The larger units may appeal to some as they are spacious.
