  Office Unit Review- Underrated Gem of CBD

  Connectivity is superb with MRT just within IP fully sheltered. Parking lots and driveways are also spacious for CBD (possibly as it is older, most newer CBD buildings have extremely tight parking). New co-working floor space adds new vibrancy to IP in addition to existing cafes, F&B and Banks in IP. In fact even though we shifted opposite to Guoco Tower, we still constantly walk over to IP for lunch as the food options offer variety and value for money. Office units seem to have more activity recently- plus point would be that office units seem to be easily rented out to companies looking for CBD address with a 'decent corporate image' condition (IP is very well kept for its age) that is value for money, but negatives would be that the constant renovation works on weeknights or weekends.

  Tenants/Buyers Beware!

  1. Problems with pipes & plumbing that are very costly to fix (involves knocking down walls) as they are old. 2. Monthly fire alarm testing (weekends). 3. Annual power shutdown (2 days on weekends).

  International Plaza

  The grand old dame of Tanjong Pagar residential scene. This building itself is a combination of retail and office. Apartments can still look very good if renovated. the sizes are very generous as they are built in the earlier years

  Renter/buyer - be careful of IP

  If you are ex pat they've already seen you coming, If LOCAL , still be careful... I looked at 10 apartments while searching last year. This APPEARED to be the best of a bad bunch. What a mistake. The Landlord agent has share of the blame after trying to switch the agreed lease document on the day of signing. But onto the apartment – all apartments are large , one of the few advantages btw * 40 old plumbing with tiny sewer pipes that block up constantly. * Electricity wiring that looks pre 1950's and is dangerous * Everything is either broken or on the way to being broken. No one mentioned that * the swimming pool is BOILING or that it would be out of action for 8 MONTHS in the last year. * OR that replacement of all steel railings would go on for 7 months with great noise and at weekends * Or that they’d be painting non stop for a further 2 months followed by Lift vestibule renovations. *Or that the lifts are constantly broken down or stop at your floor then change direction; * OR that sometimes you wait more than 10 minutes for one; * Or that weekend construction is allowed 7 am to midnight in the office section and construction noise is considered ok .The sound travels easily through the walls to ALL apartments * Or if you want a lift at peak hour morning or afternoons or at lunchtimes forget it as there are thousands of workers with the same idea as you - TO CATCH A LIFT Get the picture? If you were considering it, change your mind unless you have a fantastic deal and know of the agent/owner Take photos/ videos of everything on move in The Bond you pay to the landlord; That's considered to be a present, you will never see it again. ha ha. there is no way to force your landlord to return the bond Better off going HDB or pay more at a CONDO.... counting the days.

  Good location, but very noisy!

  It's a good location, but with a lot of construction happening around it, its very noisy! I went to see a unit and it was very noisy even with windows closed.

  International Plaza is strategically located to benefit from the newfacelift of Tg Pagar area as the next Marina Bay and Waterfront City. Presently already boasts of fine dining and superb entertainment outlets in the Conservation Area and new offices in Anson Road nearby with Tg Pagar MRT right at its doorstep and new connections with Circle Line. Add on the nearby excitement of Marina Sands IR and the new Marina Bay Financial Centre plus the impending new Waterfront City, International Plaza is poised to benefit from the new growth and hustle-bustle including new project launches like The Altez plus the existing Icon nearby and soon to TOP The Clift.
