Peaceful and quite environment
We stayed here for more than 5 years and we have a lot of neighbors who are 1st owners. Generally, neighbors are friendly. It’s windy whole year around . We love this place -

Great layout, great renovated facilities
View the place recently. Was impressed by their spacious layout in the units. They have also renovated their pool area. Although a little inconvenient in terms of location. They have shuttle bus provided. It’s definitetly a great place with resort feel. Spacious and well maintained facilities. Worth considering. -

Not so convenient
Rented the place for 4 years. Car park very strict for guests but as Long as you park in designated visitor lots, it's ok. Many Cockroaches at lift lobby & carpark. Mosquitoes patches a must for young kids in the playground. Walking up the slope is very tiring especially with groceries. Nearest wet market / Supermart is at least 30 min walk. Driving out to Hillviiew road, turning right, may need to wait a while. Not near DTL and public buses are not frequent enough. Private Shuttle coach service price is double that of public buses & operate every half hourly. Inconvenient for family with young children and without car. -

Beautiful and tranquil condo
We moved in in 2012 and have been very happy with this place. Never had any problems as described by other reviewers about parking and the condo management. We love the quiet environment where children can run around and play safely within the compounds. Very breezy most times of the year. Accessibility has improved tremendously with the opening of the Hillview MRT station. -

Carpark problem
Nice place with lush greenery in the area. Unfortunately, carpark is a big problem for anyone who has a 2nd car in the family. Unauthorized park will result in a swift clamping of your car. Condo management is very very strict about it, and do not accept any reason whatsoever. For example, your authorized decal could have fallen off your windscreen, and they will say that decal not properly displayed. Hence you will be clamped and forced to pay the $100 fine. There is actually ample parking spaces for everyone in the condo, but management and council have chosen to be unreasonably strict about it. -

Nightmare condo council
If you are thinking of buying this place, do think again. The condo is being run by an inflexible management supervised by an almost 'evil' council. Carpark issue is at the top of the death list. Council members make it their personal agenda to see that unauthorized cars are clamped. They do their nightly prowls at 12-1am to catch such cars. Once your car is clamped no amount of logical reason or otherwise will make them change their minds. They are inflexible, unforgiving and mercenary. Carpark issue is a perennial problem here at Merawoods. Next is with regards to guest parking. Guests are strictly not allowed to park in the vicinity past 12 midnight. This means if you have friends coming over for a drink or a game of mahjong, they HAVE to leave by midnight. Otherwise their cars will be clamped and not released till the next working day. Again, nightmare, authorized by the council. One would think that since they put in so much effort to police the carpark issue, other aspects about the condo would be meticulous. The answer is no. Paint work, lifts, condo facilities are generally in bad condition. Repairs are slow to happen, if at all. Overall, it's not a happy and peaceful place to live in because of unpleasant members of the condo council. In this tiny area, they are no doubt arrogant kings and queen and have absolute power over all residents. -

Nightmare
A very nice condo but all ruined by parking issue. This is an inaccessible location and many units own at least 2 cars which mean that there are huge shortages of parking lots. Initially, 2nd cars are allowed to park at the visitor lots on a first-come-first serve basis but thanks to the new council, 2nd cars can no longer park at there overnight except once a week. The council has chosen to leave the visitor lots empty at night over the inconvenience to 2nd car owners. New owners with 2nd car have to be in the queue and tenants, sorry, strictly not entitled to 2nd lot. As there are no parking facilities nearby and you are unable to park overnight, you will have to find alternative ways to return to your home-sweet-home EVERYDAY. Without the decal, you will be treated as 2nd class citizen and have to get a visitor chit everyday when you do enter the premise. An expensive price to pay and in exchange, a terrible nightmare, physically and mentally! -

Peace & Quiet
Went with my family to have a look at one of the units few weekends ago, like the pool and bbq area very much. After seeing quite a few developments around Hillview area, Merawoods still consider one of the better lot for their facilities and view. I like the peace and quietness of this development, especially its located on top of a small hill. Though I must say that the transportation will be a small problem for my family who only owns one car. Anyhow, I will continue my search for suitable units in this development. -

Hilltop paradize
A gem on the hilltop. Provide excellent view on the hillview avenue and bukit batok nature park. Clean and serene place, nature park lover will love the ambient and it's very good old interior layout. The units are spacious and structures are sturdy. -
