Easy access to ECP and PIE and closed to future Katong Park MRT station. -

Mountbatten Lodge
Great place with rustic charm. No other place in Singapore has the same great feeling. Close to ECP and MRT is within walking distance. -

Very Noisy And Run Down
This condo has no facilities, not even covered parking. It is an old house converted into apartments. The location is ideal as a bus ride to Suntec City is only apps 15 minutes. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby, one is 24 hours. Unfortunately bus convenience comes at a price. There is a bus stop almost directly in front, and one opposite. This results in a enormous amount of noise from the Singapore Buses which are by far the noisiest buses in the world, and the worst bus drivers outside of India. Mountbatten Road is a 50km/h road, with dense residential and even preschools, yet the street is not driven on by any road user at anything less than 70km/h. At appx 6pm when the exotic car drivers come home from their high paying city jobs they drive the street at > 150km/h. Taxi drivers speed up an down this street all night long, never leaving first gear. Complaints to police and government bodies have done nothing to curb the noise pollution and speeding. Unless you are a heavy sleeper with no kids I would strongly recommend against renting in this complex. If you are looking at buying, be warned. Almost all apartments have leaking problems. Unless you have your shower in the ceiling you will most definitely be up for repair works, or be required to pay for the damage to others properties. -
