Well Maintained Apartment
Parc Haven is a well maintained and modernized private apartment with condo facilities. For a 137 units development, it has a considerably large air-conditioned function room, 2 large BBQ pits (upgraded in end 2018) and GYM using a professional reputable brand, Life Fitness. It has a decent sized ground swimming pool versus those build in the middle of the building due to limited land size. The common area lights were upgraded to LED types and stairways lights were upgraded to dimmable motion sensor LED lights as well making it a more energy efficient development and in turn saves money for the residents. The lobbies are air-conditioned making it a cooling welcoming experience when one is entering. The security here is vigilant, courteous and seems to recognize the residents by faces here. The development also has an external fresh coat of paint done at the end of 2018 giving it a modernized look as well. I have to give credit to the Management Council and Managing Agent that did a wonderful job to upkeep this development. Keep it up.

A hidden gem
I bought this place in May 2011 and my tenant has moved out and i moved in while doing some renovations to my apartment.
The place is pleasant with a good mix of expats and locals. The pool is huge and gym is well maintained.
Its close proximity to the food markets like just 200 metres away and many different themed eateries makes this property a jewel. There is even a 24 hours NTUC just a stone's throw away and you can do your groceries 24/7..Not to mention the many random shops in the area selling almost everything under the sun..
Tranport by buses to town is so convienient and takes around just 30 minutes during peak rush hours. By car, theres easy accessibility via CTE and PIE and takes just 10 minutes to reach town.
Any complains? Yea definitely, some of the pool chairs are torn and awaiting replacement.
On the whole, this is a jewel nestled in Balestier.

Be careful
The property looks like a hidden gem at first - lovely pool, nice location to market, big gym. But you need to be careful
1) the attitude and manners of some of the residents is not a joy to live among (eg like to take free showers in the public shared pool showers, like to charge mobile phones in the gym to save paying for the electricity, let their kids go to bathroom in the pool)
2) the attitude of security guards is to turn a blind eye (eg people smoke beside the pool, security lets in people for a regular mahjong and gambling den in the bulding, residents are allowed to hang things out their windows which impacts units below, the gym machines are broken for weeks at a time, the pool lights often broken)
3) the specific unit you live in may have issues (eg loud noises due to broken air con of neighbours, hot because of direct sun, etc)
If you can put up with this, it is a nice property to live in. Otherwise, forget it.
