Large rooms
I prefer a spacious 2-bedroom unit in an older development like Roxy Square compared to a new 3-bedder in one of the upcoming developments. It feels more spacious and airier, while the construction quality is top-notch. The future Marine Parade MRT station is nearby if you have to commute to work, and there are a few schools in the vicinity that are quite reputable. As far as location goes, its somewhere in between the airport and the CBD. -

The location makes up for everything
The majority of Roxy Square comprises commercial units like shops and offices, which makes the place quite busy during the day and pretty quiet at night. My 2-bedroom apartment is spacious. I have had no issues with the construction quality and maintenance of this property, having owned my unit for over a decade. New developments have a slew of amenities like pools and gymnasiums. That’s something Roxy Square doesn’t have, however you will find all these nearby, as well as a few popular restaurants in the area. -

Tons of space
The benefit of renting an apartment at Roxy Square, a 20-year old development, is that firstly it’s a smaller mixed-use development and secondly, the apartments are more spacious than many units in newer developments. The 2-bedroom unit is about 1,300 sqft, the size of a 3-bedder in newer developments. Rental prices are in the comfortable range right now. My office is in the same building, so renting an apartment here makes a lot of sense. -
