The Foliage
Foliage is a rather typical low rise Pasir Panjang apartment with neat decent design. Only 88 units which ranges from studio, 2,3 bed room to penthouses -

Allegations untrue
As a resident-owner of this property who is not a potential seller either in the near or long-term, I wish to challenge Mrs Thatcher's allegations Her unverified comments are damaging to the reputation and potential valuation of an otherwise decent, well-maintained and enjoyable residence; and also jeopardises the livelihoods and reputations of the support staff here, who have kept the residence clean, orderly and well-maintained. For instance: 1. I have not experienced pest issues. If the issue was so severe, she should have substantiated her allegation. Specifically, whether she informed her landlord, any intervention by pest-control, and proof of such intervention. 2. I've recently toured neighbouring properties in Pasir Panjang and find her comparative critique to be untrue. For instance, her comment on 'noise' is consistent with city living. While it is true that there is some noise, this is a commonly accepted trade-off in Singapore (for the convenience of public transport access). All residences along Pasir Panjang Road therefore suffer from the same issue and by her standards cannot be "peaceful"; residences facing West Coast Highway are noisier, sans sound-proofing. Her comparative critique is internally inconsistent. 3. On her assertion as to spaciousness, she should be required to qualify her perception of a lack of space relative to the square footage rented. We are only told that there is a bedroom for one person, and so her critique ought to be reasonably taken in context. Perhaps she should have simply rented a larger apartment. Her critique of a lack of space seems to apply uniformly across all her living spaces. 4. The poolside lounge chairs are behind trees and hedges. That said, as with any residence in Singapore, sunbathers (if any) are visible to most residents living above pool level; however, if privacy is a concern, I have not witnessed a fellow resident who's interested enough to look. -
