Excellent
My husband and I lived in a 2+1 bed flat here from 2007-2010 and were very happy! Apart from the fantastic location, we loved the fact that this was a relatively small project (by Singapore standards) with 88 units and yet big enough to have full condo facilities. The facilities were never crowded and we rarely ran into large numbers of people in the gym, pool, lift, lobby or anywhere at all (sometimes, there was no one around) and it felt really private most of the time. The best part of this condo was the excellent maintenance and the constant upgrading of facilities. When two new condos came up on Paterson Road, right next to this one, it didn't look tired or run down. In fact, when we finished our contract, by which time our housing budget had increased substantially and we had the opportunity to move into one of the brand new condos on Paterson Road, we decided to remain in The Paterson because the flats were just so much better and the constant attempts to improve facilities had made the condo even more luxurious than it was when we first started living there. The only downside was that there was no room for a helper (there was a bomb shelter, but that was not a useable room), but then, some of the other condos we saw in the area didn't have it either and there wasn't even a bomb shelter (which we needed for storage) in some of them. I have to agree that there was noise with two construction sites next to the condo, but that's what you have to live with pretty much everywhere in Singapore, so why complain about The Paterson! -

The Paterson
Completed around 2004, this condo is in the middle ground between the modern less spacious condo and the generously spaced less modern design. End of both world. Most units enjoy unblocked views of the Grange road areas -

Building not sealed, fogging an issue
Building not sealed properly which poses a serious issue during weekly fogging. The fumes fill perimeter rooms and main living area. All balcony doors not sealed and large space under back door. -

Not for babies and toddlers
Anyone with babies and toddlers should look elsewhere. Looks lovely, external noise is unbelievable. Lived here with a young child two years and the noise is constant. From poor management organisation of terrible scheduling of construction and building works, and maintenance, to constant, loud vehicle noise overnight on Grange Rd - all day, all night, weekends too. -

A Gem tucked away..
As The Paterson is tucked away from the main road, it is a quiet, serene, greenery inspired luxury condominium nestled within the enclave of high end condominiums in the Grange/Paterson Road vicinity. The grounds are spacious with beautiful landscaping and full facilities. A great place to relax. The apartments have superb layouts & are sizable and luxurious. The interior exudes prestige, both in common areas as well as interiors of renovated apartments & is popular amongst many expatriates. Good schools are only a stone's throw away. As well, the location is very prime as public transport is but a short walk for buses ( 2 mins ) & only 5 mins to the nearest Orchard MRT station, situated within Orchard Ion. There are so many great amenities all at The Paterson's doorstep, from grocery shopping at Isetan, to catching a movie at Lido , that residents become spoilt for choice within a 5-10 minute walking radius! Not to mention, commute to anywhere on the island is both extremely easy & convenient. A Real Gem.. -

Just what we wanted...
The Paterson is a simply beautiful apartment to live in. The exquisite art pieces exhibited around the development lend a classy and aesthetic touch to the place. It nice to come back to some eye-candy after a day at work. Just minutes walk away from amenities, shops, cinemas, the glamorous ION shopping centre, the MRT station, Borders Bookstore, what more could we ask for? With the nearby MRT, commuting to / from work is such a breeze. Just a few minutes walk back to the apartment after a romantic night out at nearby eateries, or after catching a movie in the evening. It's simply a fantastic location to live at and be able to take in the beautiful Orchard Road view from the paranomic balcony in relative quiet. Quite rare for a place in the Orchard area. We like to live in the city but are not big fans of the accompanying noise which plague so many developments there. We are very happy with the facilities, everything we need, a nicely equiped gym, a tennis court (we could not find this luxury in quite a few of the developments we saw in land scarce Orchard Road), bbq pits for entertaining, and I've got to say a very charming pool to enjoy a lazy relaxing weekend with family or friends. Another big plus factor is the nice size of the apartment. Viewed many a 800-900sqft 2-bedroom units in Singapore and appreciate the very comfortable size of the 1216sqft 2 bedroom apartment at The Paterson. Just loving it! -
