Hi there!

Unfortunately not. Due to the pandemic, there were delays to the completion of new housing developments in 2020 and 2021. Homebuyers who were waiting for their homes to complete were left stranded, so they've turned to rental units while waiting for their homes to complete. This drove up rental prices in the past 2 years and while construction has now resumed, the developments are not completed yet. Savvier landlords who might want to lock-in the current high rental prices will want to encourage longer leases as well, so you may not see as many units with 6-month or 1-year leases.

Feel free to contact me for more insights.
