Good morning Ms. Kanika,

As foreigner, you are eligible to purchase leasehold private properties, using bank loan. You should be able to obtain maximum of 80% loan. 15% ABSD are payable in cash. Standard legal fee and stamp duty of around 3%. However, as buyer of private property, you do not need to pay your servicing agent the commission.

As a foreigner, you are eligible to purchase strata-titled private residential properties in Singapore.

Do take note that you will be liable to pay Buyer Stamp Duty (BSD) and a 15% Additional Buyer Stamp Duty (ABSD) for your purchase. There will also be legal conveyancing fees involved.

If you're new to the property market, it would be wise if you can engage a professional real estate agent to act for your purchase. Take note that Buyers for private properties need not pay agent commission.
