I am curious why do you intend to DIY for the sale assignment? Did you have a bad experience dealing with a real estate agent?
I have to say, the procedure to run through for the entire transaction may not be difficult, however, the run up towards obtaining the offer to addressing technical issues are the most likely obstacle any owners who are doing DIY are facing. Especially with rising costs of marketing a property for sale, the exposure of the unit in the market will have relevant impact on the final selling price. What can be done in 2 months may take more than 6 months or even more than a year to find a matching buyer, which by then, there can be a shift in terms of pricing in the market.
