This will depend on the Tenancy Agreement (TA) between you and your tenant. Under the normal TA terms, they are not allowed to sublet the unit to another tenant, with prior verbal/ written agreement from the landlord. Of course, unless it is otherwise stated in your TA.
Thus, I would advise you to refer to your TA for the terms agreed upon. If you are unsure, you can get the agent who was serving you to explain the terms to you. Afterall, it is part of their duty.
