Hi Sir/Mdm,

Your understanding is correct, most agents in Singapore charge a market rate of 0.5 months rental as commission for every 1 year lease. However, the fees is negotiable between the consumer and the agent and it is not uncommon for agents to charge a higher fee as long as the consumer is agreeable.
