Property Agents

I am interested in a career as a property agent. I am currently loss on where do I start or begin to find out more about which agency to join and I take a very strong stand on finding a committed mentor to guide me in this business.

How do I find a property agency to join whom specialise in commerial properties? Where can I begin my search from.

I seek the help of all mentors and friends for advice. Thank you!

Hi Dexter,

I definitely agree that at ECG Property (although we are not from the same division), we aspire to be one of the top agency in Singapore.

What Eric has missed out is also the various systems in place we have to help out new agents as a company, instead of relying on your hiring manager to mentor you. In that way, your hiring manager can still focus on his sales activity while you will be in good hands within the various systems to be trained as a top producing salesperson.

You are right about finding committed mentor. If you look at various comments in "Property Agents" section, you see lots of copy and paste reply regardless of the questions asked.

Look for managers who are sincerely willing to answer questions. I would join Keith Lim from Colliers if he is recruiting, but I doubt they are taking in more resale agent.

Personally, I lead a team of passionate commercial agents. We have people covering various Office/B1 light industrial areas. We are also developing vertical markets for each partner and we are currently selling afew hotels and doing leasing for some shopping malls. Many of us were from the corporate world and had businesses before joining DTZ.

Let's meet up for a detail discussion. We are selectively seeking for committed business partners just as you are selectively looking for a good team to join. My HP is below.
