I took a apartment on rent for 2 years starting mid-2008 and the lease expires in mid-2010. However due to major cutbacks from my employer I had asked the owner to apply the diplomatic clause i.e. 12 months + 2 months notice. Now my employer has asked me to stay on for longer.
But the owner and I have already signed the diplomatic clause agreement, and I would like to take a apartment closer to the city i.e. leave this apartment at 12+2months for another apartment in Singapore? Is it possible on the current diplomatic clause or do I need to sign a amicable resolution agreement with the owner to settle this matter?
Furthermore, do I need to notarize / get the agreement stamped?
