Far East Organization has uncovered a new Boutique hotel Quincy and said it will launch hospitable sub-brands to welcome more tourists to Singapore for the following years.
The sub-brands, which they called Village, will be launched in this year’s third quarter. It will put together 8-9 Far East serviced apartments and hotels with the same attributes under an umbrella. However, Boutique hotel Quincy is not included In the Village brand.
Mr. Chia Boon Kuah, Far East Organization’s executive director on hospitality industry, said ”By launching a brand, we will better articulate the hospitality offerings from the Far East group”.
At present, the Far East Organization has eleven serviced houses and six hotels. Mr. Chia added that the Quincy has 108 rooms situated on Elizabeth Walk, which is so far attaining success. Last February, the hotel had a soft opening and gained occupancy of 76%. It commenced with a value of $198++ for its launching month and has increased it to $208++.
“There is no such product on Orchard Road” Mr Chia said.
In what is assumed to be the first industry in Singapore, Quincy provides a unique all-inclusive stay to clients – the rate of rooms includes a transfer service on a limousine from the airport, all mini-bar conveniences, all three repasts at the hotel, and drinks and cocktails every night.
So far, almost all of the clients have been business guests.
Mr. Chia said that the property group launched its hotel although there is an economic recession nowadays as it was certain that arrivals of a large number of tourists in the country would pick up. “With the current climate, we believe that intra-Asean and intra-Asian travel will increase”.
Quincy is near Orchard Road where the chief shopping belt is situated. Mr Chia thinks that upcoming malls, such as the CapitaLand-Sun Hung Kai’s Ion Orchard and Far East’s Orchard Central, will add up to the demand for Quincy’s accommodations.
