The managing firm of Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust (A-REIT), Ascendas Funds Management Limited (AFM), announced yesterday that directors Swee Kee Siong and Benedict Kwek Gim Song have retired. AFM also announced that Monica Villegas Tomlin, Koh Soo Keong and Henry Tan Song Kok have been appointed as directors effective yesterday.
Kwek also left his position as audit committee chairman while Swee vacated his position as executive committee member. Joseph Chen Seow Chan, presently part of the audit committee, will take over as chairman of the audit committee.

Their wisdom, dedication and contributions towards the board and trust for the past seven years have guided A-REIT in its development into the largest business space and industrial REIT in Singapore today. I would like to wish them all the best in their future endeavours,” David Wong, the chairman of AFM, said.
The 58-year-old Koh is a presently managing director at EcoSave Private Limited. He served as the CEO and president of SembCorp Logistics Limited for over eight years prior to retiring in April 2007 when Toll Holdings bought the company over. Koh also serves chairman of the board for Agrifood and Veterinary Authority of Singapore, and chairman for AusGroup.
The 45-year-old Tan currently serves as the managing director at Nexia TS Public Accounting Corporation and Nexia TS Private Limited. Tomlin, 59, is presently working as an independent senior management consultant. She had most recently held the position of assistant chief executive at the Singapore Tourism Board after over 20 years in of service as management adviser for international firm s like McKinsey & Company and Arthur D. Little.
