Malaysia-based developer Acmar International has appointed ITD Vertex Consortium Sdn Bhd as the main contractor for the D’Rapport mixed-use development project located in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.
ITD Vertex Consortium Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Singapore’s Vertex Far East Pte Ltd and Italian-Thai Development Public Company Ltd of Thailand, was selected after a rigorous process involving interviews and site visits to several countries including Singapore, Thailand, Korea and China.
“We are extremely selective about the contractors we work with as we always put our buyers’ interests first. Today, we are pleased to appoint ITD Vertex Consortium Sdn Bhd as the main contractor for our D’Rapport project. They were chosen due to their impressive track record and financial standing which included the construction of Bangkok’s international airport,” said Y.bhg Dato’ Abdul Samad Maharudin, chairman of Acmar International.
Nijaporn Charanachita, Senior Executive Vice President of ITD Vertex Consortium Sdn Bhd, said: “We are particularly pleased to have found the right partners in our return to Malaysia and our partners. Acmar International has also secured financing from Sabah Development Bank Berhad (SDB), which will provide guaranteed payment to the contractor for the construction of D’Rapport.
To show its commitment, ITD Vertex Consortium Sdn Bhd has invested RM138 million worth of residential units at D’Rapport.
“We are also very pleased with ITD Vertex who has also placed their commitment in D’Rapport by investing RM138 million worth of residential units here,” said Dato Abdul Samad.
