Wing Tai wins prestigious China award

Singaporean luxury residential and commercial real estate developer Wing Tai highlighted its commitment to China when it bagged the “Hurun’s Recommended Singapore Luxury Property Developer” award at the 2011 Hurun Best of the Best Awards Ceremony, held at the Pudong Ritz Carlton in Shanghai.

The award, which recognises the most preferred and distinguished brands of Chinese high net worth individuals, is a testament to the company’s reception by the Chinese market.

Accepting the award on behalf of Wing Tai, Edmund Cheng, Deputy Chairman of Wing Tai Holdings Limited, said, “I’d like to thank Hurun for recognising Wing Tai with this prestigious award to count us among the crème de la crème of China’s top businesses. Hurun’s award to Wing Tai as a choice partner for luxury real estate development overseas cements our promise to deliver high quality domestic and foreign properties for our Chinese customers.”

Wing Tai’s properties have been seeing strong sustained interest, especially from overseas buyers. Interest from buyers in China has been steadily increasing since 2009, as more potential buyers head to Singapore to visit Wing Tai showflats and sites.

Following the property cooling measures announced by the Chinese government, Wing Tai expects a growing number of Chinese clientele looking to buy properties for their families. To meet the growing demand, the company intends to intensify its presence in China with more quality luxury projects.

“We will build on our expertise and market knowledge to develop projects that will be sought after by our global clientele who seeks prime location, high quality architecture and timeless design. These are also the qualities sought after by the Chinese elites,” said Mr. Cheng.
