Private residential property prices climbed 2.7 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010, based on flash estimates released by the URA.
Prices rose to 194.8 points in Q4 from 189.6 points in the previous quarter. However, the increase was lower than the 2.9 percent increase in Q3.
For the whole year of 2010, the price index had risen by 17.6 percent.
Meanwhile, non-landed private residential property prices rose by 2.3 percent in the Core Central Region (CCR), 1.7 percent in Rest of Central Region (RCR) and 1.6 percent in Outside Central Region (OCR) in Q4. This compares to the 1.6 percent increase in CCR, 2.3 percent in RCR and 2.2 percent in OCR in Q3.
For the whole year, prices jumped by 14.3 percent, 17.5 percent and 14.5 percent in the CCR, RCR and OCR respectively.
