6 Oct 2011

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) put up a hotel site at Jalan Bukit Merah / Alexandra Road for sale by public tender yesterday.

The site was made available for sale through the reserve list system on 16 August 2007.

According to the URA, the land parcel was put up for tender after an unnamed developer committed to offer a minimum price of S$98 million.

With a lease period of 99 years, the site has a total area of 7,946.2 sq m and a maximum permissible gross floor area (GFA) of 22,249 sq m. It is zoned for hotel development and has a maximum building height of 163m above mean sea level (AMSL).

Located at the junction of Alexandra Road and Jalan Bukit Merah, the site is near the Ayer Rajah Expressway and is served by the nearby Queenstown and Redhill MRT Stations. It is also situated near major tourist attractions, including Orchard Road, Vivo City, Mount Faber and Sentosa.
