The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has launched a commercial-cum-residential site at the junction of Jelebu Road and Petir Road for sale by public tender.
According to the planning authority, the site is strategically located near the Bukit Panjang LRT station and the upcoming Bukit Panjang MRT Station, making it suitable for a mixed-use project with residential, F&B and retail amenities.
With a leasehold period of 99 years, the Jelebu Road site has a total area of 18,954.5 sq m and a maximum gross floor area (GFA) of 56,864 sq m. It is zoned for a commercial and residential development that could potentially produce 340 housing units.
The URA added that at least 19,903 sq m of the maximum allowable GFA will be allocated for commercial uses, to “provide more commercial facilities within Bukit Panjang Town.”
The tender for the site will close on 30 November 2011 and the selection of the successful bidder will be based on the tendered land price only.
