Property consultancy CBRE has appointed Hugh Hamilton (pictured) as Senior Director, Southeast Asia for its Global Corporate Services (GCS) business.
An expert on corporate real estate in Asia, Hamilton’s responsibilities will include transaction management, occupier consulting, facilities management and project management.
Based out of Singapore, he previously worked with DTZ as Senior Director and Head of Occupier Services in Asia Pacific.
According to Pauline Goh, CBRE’s CEO for Singapore & South East Asia, Hamilton will work closely with the region’s GCS team to build and maintain the company’s corporate services business market lead in Southeast Asia.
Hamilton will officially join CBRE in December and succeeds Rhys Harvey, who relocates to Sydney in February to take on the post of Deputy Managing Director for CBRE’s Pacific GCS business.
At the same time, Rowsley, an Iskandar developer and owner of RSP Architects Planners & Engineers, has announced the appointment of Lock Wai Han as Group CEO.
With effect from 1 November, Lock will be responsible for the group’s businesses and will report to Dr Ho Tat Kin, Rowsley Executive Chairman, as well as to the board of directors.
Prior to his appointment, Lock served as CEO of CapitaMalls Asia (China). He also has over 20 years of experience in Singapore’s public sector as Commissioner, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and Director, among others.
“Wai Han’s appointment is timely and will greatly strengthen Rowsley’s leadership. His knowledge and experience in governance, in working with foreign governments and regulators and in overseeing large-scale integrated real estate projects, are what we need to lead us forward in our current transformation,” Dr Ho said.
