The third annual South East Asia Property Awards will see Singapore’s leading real estate players battle it out for top honours.
To be held this Thursday (31 October) at Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore, the event recognises individuals and companies across the region who have displayed excellence in their fields. Ensign Media are the organisers of the awards and also publishers of Property Report magazine.
Singapore-based developers shortlisted under the Best Developer category are City Developments Limited (CDL), Far East Organization and UOL Group Limited. They will also have to compete with firms from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Property developments in the city-state that have been shortlisted are Marina Bay Suites, The Glyndebourne and Waterbank at Dakota under the Best Condo category; Marina Bay Financial Centre and Quayside Isle under the Best Commercial Development; and Parkroyal on Pickering under Best Green Development.
The Glyndebourne was also shortlisted under Best Residential Architectural Design and Best Residential Interior Design, while Quayside Isle and Parkroyal on Pickering were shortlisted under Best Commercial Architectural Design and Best Hotel Architectural Design respectively.
Meanwhile, CBRE Singapore, Citiprop Property Management and Jones Lang LaSalle Singapore were shortlisted under the Best Property Consultancy segment.
Alexander Karolik-Shlaen, chairman of the central judging panel, said: “This year we received more entries than ever from all over the region and some of the projects we were asked to judge could even be called ‘iconic’ in their respective countries.”
He added: “It was therefore not an easy task to narrow down to a shortlist, but after much discussion and examination I am confident we arrived at a consensus that aptly reflects the high quality of real estate currently on offer across South East Asia.”
