KSH snags first China contract

Listed
construction group KSH Holdings, through its 50 percent owned
Sino-Singapore unit, has received its first construction contract in
China worth RMB157 million (S$31.24 million) for the Liang Jing Ming Ju
Phase Four development in Beijing.

Under the deal awarded by
Beijing Jin Hua Tong Da Real Estate Development, KSH will erect three
blocks of 11- to 13-storey residential buildings comprising of office
and commercial units along with two basement levels. Construction will
progress for about 25 months.

“We are delighted to be awarded
this project, which represents the first construction project that we
are undertaking in the PRC,” said Choo Chee Onn, Executive Chairman and
Managing Director of KSH.

“Going forward, we will look for opportunities in expanding both our property and construction business in the PRC.”
