Taller and more extensive garden and flower displays this year.

The popular Singapore Garden Festival has returned for the fifth time at a new location – Gardens by the Bay.

This year’s show will wow the crowds with bigger, taller and more extensive garden and flower displays from local and international designers.

Visitors can view 50 garden and flower displays from The Meadow to the Flower Dome.

Notably, the height limits have been raised threefold to 10 metres high compared to the previous limit of three metres.

One of the exhibits breaking new height records is the Orchid Extravaganza, which features a 10 metre tall orchid kaleidoscope.

Around 18,000 plants and over 40 orchid species and hybrids will be showcased at the Orchid Extravaganza.

Dennis Lim, Deputy Director, Singapore Garden Festival, said: “With the move to Gardens by the Bay this year, it has certainly brought about a new aspect to the Festival not just for the designers but also the visitors.

“Unlike previous years, visitors can now admire the beauty and serenity of the gardens as they transit from day to night. Families and friends can also have their weekend picnics at the lawn while visiting the extensive displays,” he added.

The Singapore Garden Festival runs until this Sunday, 24 August.
