Revealed: Battersea Phase 3

14 Oct 2014

Details have been revealed for Phase 3 of the apartments at London’s Battersea Power Station, a joint-venture development between Malaysian developers SP Setia and Sime Darby, along with the Malaysia Employees Provident Fund.

More than 700 units in Phase One were sold to buying and investors from Southeast Asia.

The 1,305-unit phase has been designed by Gehry Partners and Foster + Partners, and will form the scheme’s pedestrianised high street, Electric Boulevard, along with the southern gateway to The Power Station.

Prices have been confirmed too.

Studio apartments will start from from £495,000, one-bedroom apartments from £590,000, two-bedroom apartments from £1.2 million, three-bedroom apartments from £1.9 million and four-bedroom apartments from £3.2 million. Prices for the penthouses have yet to be announced.

To the west of Electric Boulevard, the Foster + Partners’ designed ‘Battersea Roof Gardens’ will form a ‘strongly delineated, rippling building that creates an illusion of a series of waves; a direct response to the solidity of the Power Station’.

On top will be one of the largest roof gardens in London.

Each of the units will have a winter garden, while the three-storey-high entrance lobbies will provide a base for the residents’ concierge services. Meanwhile, on the east side of Electric Boulevard, LA-based Gehry Partners’ ‘Prospect Place’ will form a cluster of five buildings each with sculptural façades inspired by London’s famous John Nash Regency terraces.

Rob Tincknell, Chief Executive Officer of Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “This launch is a very special residential offering; the opportunity to be right above London’s newest pedestrianised high street and at the impressive gateway to The Power Station.

“The designs from Foster + Partners and Gehry Partners are unique amongst other London developments and will be extremely creative and exciting places for people to live in.”

A total of 539 of the homes will be available as part of the commercial, retail, food and beverage launch which officially starts on Friday, October 31. Similarly to the second phase, the company is not planning any property exhibitions in Southeast Asia. Pre-registered buyers are being invited for sales appointments in London from October 24.
