HDB has released 7,568 flats for sale under the November 2014 Build-To-Order (BTO) cum Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) exercise.
These flats are located in mature as well as non-mature towns, including the first housing project in Tampines North, which will also feature the first Three-Generation (3Gen) flats in a mature town.
4,277 BTO flats, comprising two to five-room flats, as well as 3Gen flats, will be offered in six projects in Sembawang, Sengkang, Yishun, and Tampines.
Tampines GreenRidges (pictured), located along Tampines Avenue 9, will be the first housing development in Tampines North, and it will have several green features, such as an automated waste collection system that provides clean and fuss-free waste disposal.
In a statement, HDB said first-timers will continue to enjoy priority flat allocation, and eligible first-timer singles can apply for a two-room flat in Anchorvale Fields, Blossom Spring @ Yishun, Meadow Spring @ Yishun or Sun Breeze.
From the November 2014 sales exercise, up to 30 percent of the flat supply for first-timer families, and up to 15 percent of the flat supply for second-timer families will be set aside for those applying to live with or near their parents or married child under the Married Child Priority Scheme (MCPS). The government recently tweaked the scheme to make it a quota-based priority scheme.
Under the SBF exercise, HDB will offer 3,291 flats in 11 non-mature and 15 mature towns. HDB said about 27 percent of these flats are already completed, while the rest are under construction.
HDB has offered 29,129 flats for sale this year and 22,455 of these units are BTO flats, exceeding HDB’s promise to launch 22,400 BTO flats for sale in 2014.
