SLP International

To help educate younger Singaporeans on buying their first home, local YouTube sensation MunahHirziOfficial (MHO) is working with homegrown property consultancy SLP International on a series of four short videos.

With a combined viewership of 21 million views, these YouTubers recently crossed their first 100,000 subscribers mark and represent Singapore’s Gen Y voices.

All four parts will also feature SLP’s spokesperson, Nicholas Mak, Executive Director of Research & Consultancy who is no stranger to the local property industry, having been featured regularly by the national media. Viewers can watch how he imparts some of his real estate knowledge to the vocal pair.

Several topics will be covered in this YouTube series such as the various property cooling measures; issues with buying property like engaging the right real estate agent, affordability and the Total Debt Servicing Ratio (TDSR) framework; and issues with selling property in the case of the resale levy and Seller Stamp Duty (SSD).

SLP has already released the first video, a three to four minute music parody on BANG BANG by Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande & Jessie J, which happens to be a current pop song. It follows two recently engaged Minahs (a female subculture of the local Malay community) and the problems their male fiancés have to put up with when their girlfriends are very demanding in purchasing their dream house. This provides an opportunity to discuss the issues faced by young couples in their property search.
