Perth home of Malaysian king on the market.

A Malaysian sultan has put his home in Perth, Western Australia on the market, media reports said.

Commissioned in 2007, the property in Dianella St is considered fit for royalty and comprises seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, a theatre and games room. Four bedrooms are triple-sized and the bathrooms feature rainwater showers.

There is also sufficient space to house the king’s bodyguards and child carers.

Spanning an entire wing, the sultan’s bedroom is his favourite room in the house. It has a balcony, grand ensuite, studio retreat and office area.

Although the sultan was not identified for security reasons, it is understood that his four children were attending school in Perth, and the home was a place to stay when he visited the city.

But his needs have since changed and the property is now up for sale.

Speaking through his personal assistant, the sultan said: “It’s an attractive neighbourhood surrounded by high-quality homes and neighbours and very well located to schools and other conveniences.”

The property is being marketed by Equinox Realty.
