HDB launched 4,630 new flats in six projects under the September 2014 Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise today.
The projects located in the non-mature towns of Bukit Batok, Hougang and Jurong West, and the mature town of Kallang-Whampoa.
The flats include Studio Apartments (SAs), two to five-room flats, as well as Three-Generation (3Gen) flats. HDB strongly advised applicants are to apply for a BTO flat in non-mature towns to enjoy a higher chance of success in securing a flat.
With housing grants for eligible first-timer families, the selling price for a two-bedroom flat in Yung Ho Spring I (pictured) in Jurong West starts from $18,000.
To meet the diverse housing needs of multi-generation families, Buangkok Edgeview in Hougang offers 56 3Gen units with an internal floor area of about 115 sq m, and a Family Service Centre will also be built to serve as a community-based focal point and social service provider for families in the area.
Additionally, 50 percent of the SAs at St George’s Towers in Kallang-Whampoa will be set aside under the Studio Apartment Priority Scheme (SAPS) for seniors who apply for an SA in the same town or within two km of their current home, or for an SA to live near or with their parents or married child.
In November 2014, HDB will offer about 4,290 BTO flats in Sembawang, Sengkang, Tampines and Yishun.
An additional 3,000 flats will be offered in a concurrent Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) exercise.
