Property agency RE/MAX has been ranked the number one real estate franchise in the 2015 Franchise Times Top 200 survey.

This is the seventh consecutive year that RE/MAX has clinched the coveted title. Overall, it placed 11th out of 200 franchisors, up from 12th last year and 14th in 2013.

Franchisors from other business sectors that made the top 10 list included McDonald’s, 7-Eleven, Ace Hardware, Hertz and Marriott Hotels and Resorts.

This year, the RE/MAX franchise has expanded its reach in Asia Pacific with RE/MAX Shanghai opening in September, and most recently RE/MAX Mongolia celebrating its official opening on 2 October.

In Singapore, RE/MAX GoProp Realty opened a new retail shop along East Coast Road this month.

Karen Ong, franchise director for RE/MAX Singapore, said: “In Singapore, we have seen real estate agencies merging and some agencies consolidating and forming alliances. Every year, real estate salespersons renew their licenses in October and there is typically movement in the market as some choose to switch agencies. As 2015 has been slow for the industry, this is a good time for real estate agencies to review how they can increase their business profitability and we hope RE/MAX Singapore can offer these business owners an alternative solution to tapping on our franchise systems to reduce their operating costs.”

RE/MAX has a presence in over 100 countries, and RE/MAX Singapore has over 40 Franchisees/Associate companies.
