Two Community Clubs upgraded

Two Community Clubs (CCs) located in the west of Singapore were upgraded recently. Yew Tee CC celebrated the completion of its upgrading works on 17 January, followed by Nanyang CC on 18 January.

Among the new and improved facilities at Yew Tee CC include a new and bigger dance studio, one new seminar function room, two new multi-function rooms, a sheltered basketball court, a refurbished kitchen, and a new Pioneer Generation Office.

Upgrading for the five-storey Yew Tee CC building (pictured) in Choa Chu Kang began in June 2013.

Meanwhile, the newly upgraded Nanyang CC in Jurong West has barrier-free infrastructure such as ramps, lifts and a bridge linking the carpark to the CC.

There are also more sheltered communal spaces and other new facilities includes seminar room, music rooms, additional dance studios, round-the-clock gym and more F&B outlets.

Previously closed for more than a year for major upgrading works, the upgraded Nanyang CC is an environment-friendly building with a green wall, LED lightings and water and energy saving features to meet BCA Green Mark requirements.
