Jointly built by CapitaLand and Mitsubishi Estate Asia, the high-rise development now rises above Bishan’s skyline and its two staggered towers can be seen from the CTE and passing trains on the North South MRT line.

Before the first residents collect their keys and move in, we thought we’d list down some interesting facts about this iconic project which is within walking distance to Bishan MRT station and Junction 8 shopping mall.

Did you know…

1.    At 38 storeys high, Sky Habitat is currently the tallest skyscraper in the Bishan area. Future residents will enjoy views of MacRitchie Reservoir, the city skyline and Singapore flyer.

2.    The project was designed by world famous architect Moshe Safdie, who also happens to be responsible for Marina Bay Sands and a holocaust museum in Israel.

3.    Sky Habitat’s futuristic design includes a three-dimensional matrix of homes, gardens, terraces and sky bridges. Some units have their own private gardens in the sky.

4.    The three sky bridges on levels 14, 26 and 38 come with a sky pool and serve as common leisure and garden spaces.

5.    About 70 percent of the site comprises lush gardens and outdoor facilities such as swimming pools and a walking path, creating an oasis in the bustling city.

6.    Its stunning architecture makes it just one of a handful of noteworthy condominiums in Singapore – the others being Reflections at Keppel Bay, The Interlace and the future DUO Residences.

7.    Sky Habitat was considered the most expensive suburban condominium during its initial launch in 2012, with transacted prices of around $1,580 psf. To help move units, the condo was relaunched last year with prices cut by around 10 to 15 percent.
