To allow more people to visit the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station (TPRS), the historical monument will be open to the public on Labour Day from 9am to 6pm, according to the Singapore Land Authority (SLA).
The site has been open to visitors on public holidays since February 2015.
So far, about 9,000 people have visited the former railway station on the second day of the Lunar New Year and Good Friday to take photos and enjoy the rustic surroundings.
In order to keep the premises clean and litter free, some activities will not be allowed such as busking, cycling and roller blading, smoking, consumption of alcohol and bringing pets (except for guide dogs).
The public can visit the station through the main entrance along Keppel Road or the side entrance at Spottiswoode Park Road. Nearby carparks are located at Block 108 Spottiswoode Park MSCP, Block 10 Cantonment Close MSCP and Keppel Road off street.
