St Barts Phase 2 Singapore launch

Following the successful launch of phase one in 2014, London’s Helical Bar is returning to both Singapore and Hong Kong this weekend with a new release of apartments.

Barts Square (pictured) is a landmark London residential development in the heart of the City of London. Setting itself far apart from the competition, the first two phases feature apartments across six separate houses, each with their own distinct character.

According to a statement from Savills, the Singapore real estate firm organising the property exhibition in the city-state, the development offers a fantastic opportunity for purchasers. Its location is one of the best-connected spots in London being less than five minutes’ from three underground stations and a minute from the new Farringdon East Crossrail station. The global financial centre of the City is also moments away.

Nikki Gibbard, Development Executive at Helical Bar, said: “Whenever a new central London development site comes to market, there is invariably considerable hype about ‘unique locations’ and ‘once in a lifetime development opportunities’.

“While these sweeping statements need to be taken with a healthy pinch of salt, it would not be hyperbolic to say that Barts has presented us with a truly fantastic opportunity to create a place like no other.

“There are currently around 7,500 residences in the City of London and it is unlikely that more than 12,000 will ever be permitted. Therefore, to be able to develop 236 high quality and carefully designed residences on a 3.2 acre site steeped in historical charm is, for us, an unrivalled opportunity.

“Barts Square has become more than just a development scheme for us, it is a labour of love, in which we have been given the opportunity to create a new quarter of the City. It is a privileged position to be in and something we do not take lightly.”

The sales rate of the first phase reflected the quality of the scheme, according to Savills, with more than 70 percent of the available units selling out since last year’s launch. Current interest remains strong.

This new release brings two brand new buildings, Vicary House and The Underwood Building, to the Asian market.

Andrew Hawkins of Savills added: “Barts Square is without doubt one of the finest residential development projects I have worked on. The attention to detail and thoughtful development approach is really resonating with buyers. I am delighted that we are able to return to Asia to launch two brand new buildings, Vicary House and The Underwood Building.

“We are looking forward to seeing existing buyers again and those looking to buy their first apartment at Barts Square” Vicary House and The Underwood Building will be launching simultaneously in Hong Kong and Singapore on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7.

The Singapore property exhibition for Vicary House and The Underwood Building will take place between 11am and 7pm at the Consulate Room, St Regis Hotel, Singapore.
