Trump Tower Vancouver, an upscale hotel-cum-residential development, is scheduled to open in late summer 2016.
At 616 feet tall, the US$360 million, 63-storey tower, is currently the second-tallest building in the city. It is also the only Canadian development to be ranked among the Top 100 Developments in the World by Elite Traveler magazine.
This is Trump’s second tower in Canada after Toronto, which it is developing with Vancouver-based Holborn Group and Malaysia’s TA Global Berhad.
Located in West Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver, the residential component contains 217 condominium units. Residents of the property will also have access to the hotel’s amenities, including The Spa at Trump.
Since the project was announced in June 2013, residences at Trump Vancouver have sold at a higher psf price than any other property in Canada. Around 214 units have been sold at an average price of US$1,610 psf, with the sub-penthouse closing for US$6.74 million.
Meanwhile, the three remaining top-floor penthouses, which are priced from around US$20 million, will go on the market early next year. The units have reportedly attracted keen interest from Vancouver’s wealthiest residents and international buyers.
“Vancouver has long been regarded as a top city for liveability and quality of life, and Trump Vancouver will embody the incredible urban environment and hospitality of Vancouver,” said Donald Trump Jr., son of US presidential hopeful and property magnate Donald Trump.
