Avoid
Having lived in this 'condo' for the past two years, I'm laughing here at some of the comments. Guessing that a number of those are made from landlords to up their rental/resale prices. Let's start with the only positives: a short walk to Queenstown & hence only a 25 minute journey to the CBD which is appealing. Also the common areas cleaning lady who is very nice. Negatives: Non-existent management company. A number of the condo facilities / appliances have been broken for a long time now (i.e. steam room, all three jacuzzis etc...) with no signs of getting fixed. While normal wear and tear is to be expected, to take over 6 months to fix a steam room is outrageous. Security are useless when you consider their wages vs. minor cost of repairs to the condo which have not been undertaken. The noise. The condo is built on Alexandra road, so facing 6 lanes of traffic. Avoid at all costs. Much better options nearby. It's a shame as many improvements could have been made over the two years living there, I'm now very excited to move away next month... -

Small apartments within walking distance to Queenstown MRT station. Great location on city fringe with heartland amenities but apartments facing inwards -

stay away
A very unfortunate experience that, my friend has encountered during her stay there. The unit that she rented is at high floor with balconies. Thanks to God she has finally moved out to somewhere else. The so called penthouse unit is so tiny and HOT!! Watch out the afternoon sun! You will feel like having sauna at home every day. Basically you can’t stay indoor without air condition being turn on. Very noisy during daytime as there is on-going construction opposite her unit, and very dusty as well. Toilet flushing system had bad mechanism in place and once you flush, the water will not stop, it continues until you press the button a few times. Good luck on your water bill if you forgot to ensure water has stopped flowing. This is not just happened to one unit, it happened to her neighbours as well. Pls make sure the toilet flushing system is working fine before you rent. Crack lines can be found everywhere in the building and of course her unit and balconies - check it out yourself. Pls be prepared that your Landlord might make use of this to withhold your rental deposit and that’s what happened to her. Her landlord requested her to repaint the balconies and fix the crack lines. The materials that used in Alexis are not really top grade. Everything inside tends to break down easily and as tenants, you will be held for the responsibility on the maintenance. If you have other choice, please stay away from this condo. Ask around before you rent. It is true that many tenants have moved out and there are many available units. Some tips shared by her if you are still interested for this condo: - View the unit during the afternoon time. You will know how hot and how uncomfortable to stay inside. - Please take pictures for every single corner of the house during the handover and document every defect that you encounter during your stay. - Find a good and responsible (genuine)agent who can advise you on the tenancy disputes. -

Just terrible
As a former tenant, i must agree with most of the negative reviews here. Only reason i rented here was because i was new to singapore at the peak of the market. 1. Units are tiny, borderline inhumane 2. Tiny piece of land with a busy street right outside of your door 3. It feels like a cheap government housing project in a third world country 4. Residents are either low class foreigners or locals 5. Management is nonexistent and security is one old man 6. doors are not sound proof at all and you can hear everything that is going on inside or outside of an apartment 7. Kitchen is a joke, living room is a joke and overall material used is just bad 8. And yes you can hear all the late night party or church meetings Good luck to you all! -

no good
horrible management office since i moved in 2010. some crazy people throw party after midnight but no control by management office. not many eateries near by unless u enjoy walking under the sun for 10 min. i'm happy to move out this year with tenancy expiry and happier i didn't buy this unit here. it's a waste of money for investment and ruin your life if you intend to stay in this condo by spending big rental for little benefit. i would prefer to zero start in the ratings if i can. unfortunately they set minimum 1 start as the lowest which is not worthy . -

Freehold & Life style in Prime location
Alexis is a very conveniently located condominium which is well -connected to the whole of Singapore. The place is cosy and very enjoyable to stay. Try the 75m sky pool! Love it! -

Choices
Not too long back, I was looking to buy a Freehold 1000 sqft unit budget $1500 - $1600 sqft, mainly in RCR ( City Fringe ), I did visit Alexis but left quite disappointing, the location of this Condo is all wrong, right in front of the main road, dusty, noise and busy, Buses and traffics starts as early as 5.30 am incl Sunday. Yes, there are some eateries nearby but distance away and not as attractive. We finally brought in Novena district 11, four brand new hotels incl Zhongshan Park, 5 shopping malls, cinema nearby and top popular eateries alone Balestier road all within 5-10 minutes walking distance, 5 minutes walk to MRT and 1 stop to Newton and 2 stops to Orchard. In term of city fringe Novena is much better for sure. -

Worth Every Single Cent Of Your Investment
Contrary to a couple of reviews given by users who seem to be in a state of disillusion, properties in singapore all boils down to the fundamentals of asset investment. First of all, this is a freehold property which is by far still a rare gem to say the least by local standards. As a pure home buyer and investor, you won't go wrong in this direction. Secondly, location of the property itself. Alexis sits right at the city fringe with the benefits of both urban and suburban living lifestyle. Shopping haven Orchard belt is just minutes away and central business districts like Tanjong Pagar, Raffles Place and Marina Bay are easily accessible by all means of transport. Famous suburban food areas like ABC Market, Redhill Market and Tiong Bahru eating haven are all minutes away and with up and coming new hotel mixed development under way which will pump up the value of nearby properties like Alexis. These are all the major and big ticket items which homebuyers and investors should open their mind to. In need of a break with sunshine at beaches? No hassle, just drive or pop up a bus to Sentosa Island is just around the bend. All these are strategically located by far and large. On the property itself, it is located right next to landed homes and private apartments which naturally has a lower density thus the peace and tranquility available within city living. A bus stop is located right in front of the property and Queenstown MRT station is just within a short walking distance hence residents are spoilt of choices for mode of transportation. Interior units are laced with branded and luxurious fittings and equipments around. Expats and students can expect the all rounded living standards residing in this property with business parks like Biopolis, upcoming Metropolis, Technopark, international schools etc. Facilities like swimming is the longest lap pool in spore with majestic sky view, with a rare steam room and multiple jacuzzi pods etc for well being. -

What a Mistake!!
This is a terrible development. Poor use of good land. It is now a white elephant. Investors who rushed in must be regreting now. So many units for sale and no movement. Why? Condo units are too small for decent living and the retail units lack proper shopfront because the height is low and the frontage of these shopfronts is blocked by the ugly truss and the columns. What a bad design! Poor egress and ingress too. Furthermore, I was able to get into the same lift lobby as the condo dwellers even though I only frequented one of the retail units there. How lax is the security? Overall poor design & poor layout planning. Looks like the developer didn't pay too much attention to the design layout and functional use of the units that they were building. Perhaps it was built just to be flipped but now, the public has to live with this white elephant or 'ghost town' as some other reviewer above has said. What a mistake for such a development to have been approved. It adds no value to the area. -

Poor sound proof
U can hear the sound of every bubble from swimming pool. Dont pick a unit right below swimming pool. When i chose this level 6 i expect less noise from neighbour but it turned out u need to hear the noise from 6am to 11pm. Dont expect sound sleep while staying here at 6th floor. I doubt the other types of noise from neighbours are disturbing ur life too. This is not a place for a quietness definitely. -
