Resort style living
Full condo facilities, very close to MRT, supermarket, new shopping mall is coming, easy access to PIE & ECP , spacious and efficient layout. -

why casa merah is good
i have lived in Casah merah for a total of 12 years, it has really nice beautiful facilities and big units . most importantly has great community in it -

Lifestyle living
Resort living and spacious luscious grounds for kids and family to enjoy after work. Expats’ choice. Nice pools and sports amenities for gym workout. MRT just a 3min walk. Clean and bright layout. -

Nothing special...Highly overpriced
I am staying at a 2BHK apartment and paying 3.3K which is quite overpriced compared to the fact that a similar 2BHK is available at sub3K in Tanah Merah areas. The only big advantage is its right next to the MRT station. -

Still the best
With all the new sites coming up at Tanah Merah, time to review the condos here. Sites beside the MRT and main road will have to endure the noise and dust. eCo is a good 10 to 15 minutes walk. Casa Merah represents the best location (2 minutes to MRT with no MRT noise) and has the modern look. Ms Lim in the previous post is trying to mislead others. Casa Merah is a joint development by Wing Tai and NTUC Choice Homes but NTUC only provided the funding and Wing Tai did the rest. First time I see such comments on TAPS. If you have money to buy a private property, you have no money to change the tap to what you like?!? Apartment status means cramped?? Casa Merah has the biggest plot in Tanah Merah. Do more research yourself. Lucky she did not buy or else she will pose a problem for the residents here. -

Viewed a unit there and...
I loved the surroundings and the location is superb. So i check out a unit facing the mrt. Here's my honest findings for your consideration: - Developer is part 'Aunty Lucy'. The material used are lousy. There's no wardrobe and in place its some metal railings! Taps are low grade, i found a hole in the bay window. (Yes u read it right, a hole in the cement) - It's apartment status, mean it'll definately be crampy crowded, and hey i am paying condo price! - The facilities and common area / space, drive way, are all sooo small. - High rental yield and many expats. (Sounds good) - Superb location and very peaceful surroundings. My own summary, not worth it, esp with new and better projects coming up in the vincinity around the same price. However, congrats to the owners who bought it during its launch and rented it out. -

Peaceful and quiet yet near to MRT
This is a very quiet and peaceful development. I just moved in as a tenant. My children enjoy it more than our previous apartment that is closer to the city but noisy, cramped and dodgy neighborhood. I'm surprised Alex mentioned blk 50 because this is where we rented! But it is very quiet. How can blk 54 be quieter than blk 50 when they are less than 30 meters apart? Been here more than 2 months and absolutely not noisy at all. By the way, we did paid higher rental but I think it's worth it. Ok we got a rather generous package from hubby's company and we liked the private balcony that is not next to the adjacent unit's so we signed it up. Cheers to our great neighbours. -

Hi Tim, Your comment is quite tough! I guess that you are an agent. I was also a tenant at 50 Casa Merah and I just moved to 54 Casa merah as my former owner was asking for an increase of 40% based on what agents told him! I just signed for a much lower price (higher than the previous rent I was paying though) for a nicer unit, high floor and view on the landed properties. 1) I have a baby and I can tell you that the construction beside is a little noisy 2) I understand that prices on URA website are based on what is declared for the stamp duty right? If yes, it takes into account the amount given if it is at the market rate or higher. Therefore, when a tenant gets a lower price than the market, it may not be taken into account immediately. Am I wrong? By the way, the unit I used to rent is still vacant after one month! -
