Honest Review
Plus points: - Panoramic view of the city - Great location - Great interior layout Negative points: - Very bad management. I cannot stress this enough as a resident of the unit for the past 4 years. Bad attitude towards residents; act like you owe them a living instead of them serving you. - Noise and dust from highway. Negated mostly by units with plants on the balcony and double paned windows -

Avoid (noise, bad management)
After a year of being resident I have to say that I would try to avoid this property at any cost. First of all 5/5 reviews are fake - nobody who lived here could seriously write something like this. NOISE - The biggest odd side is the noise which is unbearable. You won't use your balcony as you won't be able to hear each other. Even with closed windows it is really noisy and disturbing especially during the sleep. MANAGEMENT - The second negative - which I personally value really high is the management of this building. I haven't seen such anti-customer attitude for very long time. If you think they will be willing to help you with anything, you are unfortunately mistaken. They obviously think you are there for them, not vice-versa. Good units' layout, transport possibilities, facilities and nearby amenities cannot offset these two negatives. -

Must close the windows
the layout is good if you don't mind it is very noisy or close the windows at all times. -

No matter how good is the quality
It is indeed sad to see such a quality development built on a site where noise of the highway beats all the good reasons to buy. Even though the developer had tried to use double layer glass, it can only reduce the noise but the humming road noise can still be heard. The higher floor suffers more as sound travel upwards. If you want higher floor which gives spectacular view of the Cadelcott hill, noise is a trade off. -

the noise says it..
it is intercepted by all the major roads.... too noisy.. why will one want to bear with the noise? it ought to be sold at another $200psf discount. -

A Home That Spells Quality, Not Mass Market
When I first stepped into the unit, I was concerned about the road noise too. But once the balcony slidng door is shut, the whir from the highway traffic is pretty much blocked out (thanks to the double-glazed glass used by CDL). Considering we get to come home to an unblocked view of MacRitchie and the city, the calming greenery view of Polo Club opposite (with horses in the field at times), plus the branded interior appliances, facilities and convenience to amenities, this condo earns a big Thumbs Up from me and my family. -

probably the noisiest
what a waste! Cube 8 has probably the finest architecture and finish in the vicinity, but is also the closest to the nosiest traffic backbone of Singapore, namely the PIE (Pan Island Expressway). It is a modern sanctuary, but only for the audibly impaired. The only quiet space i could find in this fine condo is at the gym on the ground floor. Wherever u are up the building, the noise seems to resonate upwards from the expressway and is the most annoying during the peak hours as vehicles of all kinds flood into the Thomson Road exit. Plus: 1. Fine architecture 2. Great layout and use of space Minus: 1. Noise, noise, noise! 2. Traffic jam during peak hours in the morning and evening. -

year of TOP
I'm wondering why the TOP stated here is 2017 when I've been told by reliable and credible sources that it will be 2014. I've been to the showflat. True to the CDL brandname, the finishing is of high quality and the units come fitted with major appliances of European make. The idea of a spa pool on a high floor, overlooking the city or reservoir is enticing. Was concerned about the possible noise level, arising from the highway, esp for the units facing it but was told that all units come with thick glass for sound proofing and the units facing the reservoir would have specially reinforced glass for added protection. Although it is possible to walk to Novena Square from there, I think i would prefer to take the in-house shuttle bus provided. On the overall, based on the strength of the developer's track record for quality projects, convenient location and relative affordability (projects nearer to Novena MRT station are asking around $1.6k psf for a 2 bedder), it is worth considering. -
